I Change Colour (Out on 28/11/2025)

With “I Change Colour,” Vienna-based singer-songwriter Amelie Tobien–also known to many as a member of the band Bon Jour–presents a haunting indie-folk ballad about growing in moments of stillness. Told from the perspective of a solitary tree standing in a winter field, Amelie Tobien turns nature into a delicate metaphor for transformation and inner strength. Even as the leaves change colour and fall, life continues beneath the surface.

Amelie Tobien has found her musical language in folk and intimate, finely crafted storytelling. A formative year in Dublin, filled with music, new connections, and late nights in small bars, sharpened her voice and deepened her artistic expression. Back in Vienna, she discovered a creative community of songwriters and friends with whom she writes, records, and tours regularly. Her songwriting subtly weaves in influences from Haim, Phoebe Bridgers, Flyte, and Billie Marten, blending them with her own warm, distinctive tone.

Her second album, MONUMENT, released in April 2023, firmly anchored her within the Austrian folk scene. “I Change Colour” continues this trajectory – an atmospheric, poetic glimpse of what’s yet to come.
